About Us
Our mission is to empower families, senior citizens, youths, and individuals with disabilities in Green Cove Springs, Florida, and throughout Clay County, by prioritizing financial literacy, asset-building, and mental health programs. We also support technical and educational initiatives that foster lasting and broad-based community and economic development. The Palmetto Community Development Corporation is focusing on updating a building that will be used to facilitate this mission in collaboration with other non-profit organizations.

A Community Development Corporation (CDC) is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing programs, services, and activities that typically strengthen and serve specific geographic areas, such as neighborhoods or towns, with a primary focus on supporting lower-income residents and revitalizing struggling areas.

The Restoration and Improvement Team for the Palmetto Community Development Corporation, Inc., announces the completion of the permitting process for The Palmetto House, just north of downtown Green Cove Springs at 549 North Palmetto Avenue.
A special ceremony will occur before the physical work begins. Appreciation is extended to many businesses, government offices, and individuals who have supported this effort. Contributions, including materials, supplies, and financial donations, are accepted until the project is finished. We are a community-based 501(c)3 non-profit organization. Funds can be paid through Zeffy or mailed to 549 Palmetto Ave, Green Cove Springs, FL 32043, USA.
PHASE I: Permit (Started, Feb. 2026, and Approved July 2026)
Floor Joist/Sub Floor/Walls reconstructed, Outside Handicap ramp constructed, Wall Insulation installed - CURRENTLY IN PROGRESS!!!
PHASE II:
Plumbing/Electrical/HVAC Rough In
PHASE III:
Windows/Doors installed, Plumbing Top Out, Cover-Up (Drywall) Interior, Interior Paint, Finished Flooring, Trim Packaged (interior doors and trim), Cabinets
PHASE IV:
Finish Electrical/HVAC/Plumbing, Exterior Soffits, Exterior Paint, Miscellaneous Items
